Description
A 2.5 inch flex-hone disc brush with ball-tipped abrasive tufts in 120 grit zirconia alumina on a rigid plate with a drive shank. It is used to refresh brake rotor faces and other flat surfaces in automotive repair, metal finishing and machinery maintenance. Diameter and abrasive can be customised.
Ball-tipped flex-hone tufts float over the surface instead of cutting into it, so they knock down glaze and light corrosion and leave a uniform non-directional pattern without changing rotor thickness. A 120 grit is a common middle choice for brake work. Run it in a drill at moderate speed with light, even pressure and keep it moving across the friction face.
