Description
A wound abrasive roller brush with silicon carbide grit filament, 180 mm outer diameter on a 50 mm bore, 35 mm filament projection and 180 grit. The listed unit is 280 mm long, with brush lengths of 130, 150, 170, 180, 190, 200 and 220 mm also offered. It can be made with a shaft or shaftless with a round bore or keyway.
Silicon carbide filament cuts faster than aluminium oxide and is the usual pick for sanding wood between coats, removing oxide from hardware and conditioning hard materials. A 180 grit is a mid-range choice for sanding and light deburring; for finishing after paint or lacquer, ask about finer grits. Because the filament flexes, the roller follows mouldings and slightly curved parts that a sanding drum would miss.
