Description
A disc-shaped formed brush seal in which a galvanized steel channel is rolled into a ring and the white straight nylon bristles are turned inward. The listed size is 100 mm in diameter with a 25 mm overall height. Inside diameter, frame size (3# to 10#, galvanized or stainless) and fill material are specified per order, and small sample orders are accepted.
Inverted disc seals are used where a round opening must be closed around a passing part, or where a flat brushing face is needed on a rotating component. Because the bristles point toward the centre, the effective sealing bore is set by how far they are trimmed, so give the shaft or object size rather than only the outer diameter. White nylon is a clean, non-marking choice for light-duty sealing.
