Escalator Skirt Brush, Black Nylon, Single or Double Row

Description

A skirt-panel deflector brush that runs along both sides of the escalator step band, keeping shoelaces, loose clothing and small objects away from the gap between moving steps and the side panel. Soft black nylon is tufted into a rubber strip or clamped in an aluminium-alloy or sheet-iron wrap, in single-row or double-row versions. Strip section, bristle length and the carrier wrap are chosen per escalator model, and a flame-retardant nylon grade can be specified.

Escalator skirt brushes are usually replaced as a run-length item, so the critical fit points are the carrier style already fixed to your skirt panel and the strip section that slides into it. A rubber-strip version is lighter and follows small curves at the upper and lower transitions, while a metal-wrapped strip holds its line better on long straight runs. Double-row brushes give a deeper barrier where foot traffic is heavy, such as transit stations.

For a quote, send the escalator make and model, the existing holder profile (a photo with a ruler or a section drawing helps), the bristle length visible beyond the holder, single or double row, and the total metres per side. Which strip section should I order?

Sections of 5 x 5, 6 x 6 and 7 x 7 mm are offered, with 7 x 7 mm listed as the preferred size. Match it to the slot in your existing skirt-panel holder.

Can the bristles be flame-retardant?

Yes. A special flame-retardant nylon yarn can be used instead of the standard soft black nylon.
