The Elgin Broom Bear is a single-engine mechanical broom sweeper built on a Class 7 commercial chassis, aimed at heavy debris such as millings and gravel. A rear-mounted 34 in x 60 in polypropylene tube broom feeds an 11-flight squeegee conveyor, and two 46 in steel-wire side brooms bring the path to 120 in.

Two main broom lengths exist: the standard Broom Bear uses the 60 in Eagle-family broom, while the Broom Bear H series uses a 58 in broom shared with the Broom Badger. Measure the old broom length before ordering. The current spec sheet calls the side broom a 5 or 6 segment set; Elgin's catalog part numbers are 5-segment sets, so count segments on the disc.
