Description
A single-spiral steel wire tube brush on a threaded rod, 57 mm in diameter and 210 mm long, using 0.5 mm high-tensile wire. It clears coal soot, oil soot and similar deposits from chimney flues and from tubes in machinery, chemical and shipbuilding plants. Diameter, length, thread and wire can be changed, with polypropylene heads available.
To size a chimney or tube brush, measure the inside diameter of the flue or pipe and choose a brush equal to it or slightly larger, so the wire scrapes the full wall. Steel wire handles heavy creosote and hardened soot; stainless wire suits stainless flexible liners, and polypropylene is gentler for routine sweeping where wire could damage a liner.
Send the flue or tube inside diameter, the brush length you want, the thread on your rods, and the wire choice. Other diameters from 20 to 120 mm can be produced, and brushes can be supplied as heads only or matched to extension rods. For square or rectangular flues, send the inside dimensions instead and we will advise on a suitable head.
